Fire outbreaks have become very severe in the country (Ghana) due to the various adverse activities that in turn causes fire outbreaks. In recent times we hear of fire outbreaks causing the destruction of people’s lives and properties but have we thought about the measures to aid in solving this problem? Many at times, victims of fire outbreaks blame government leaders for not finding solutions instead of them looking for various ways to prevent fire outbreaks in the country.
FIRE OUTBREAKS DURING HARMATTAN SEASON.
Once upon a time, a farmer went to his farm and burnt the weeds he had gathered the previous day. Actually, without having any fire belt on his farmland and considering the season, it extended to different areas and caused a sudden explosion .
The explosion caught the attention of people to help in quenching the fire but it became very massive . After sometime, the fire service personnels had to come in…
But before they could turn off the fire, it had already destroyed the properties and most especially the lives of people.
Hence, it is very important to look for measures to prevent fire outbreaks such as always putting off appliances when not in use, proper use and handling of combustible materials, just to mention a few. As the saying goes, “prevention is better than cure” .
